Skate Dash is a high-speed skateboarding game where you can overcome a number of obstacles, do amazing acrobatics and beat ever-harder stages. The game involves quick reflexes as well as fine control and timing skills to earn the maximum score possible.
What sets Skate Dash apart from the countless endless runner games out there is its checkpoint mechanism and clear objectives. You don't just keep running to see if you can break records, you run to CONQUER each race track.
Each level is designed as a miniature real-world terrain. Initially, the roads are smooth, but gradually you'll face broken slopes, railway sleepers, or even deadly potholes. And the key: Land safely.
A spectacular aerial maneuver with a 360-degree spin or a grab board might look cool, but if you land incorrectly, you'll fall and lose all your momentum.
Throughout your Skate Dash journey, you'll see scattered glittering stars and coins. Instinctively, everyone wants to pick them all up. But be a wise skater:
Don't run for coins that are right on the edge of a cliff or up a steep hill. Sometimes, it’s preferable to flow right past them to keep your rhythm than to try to reach for any more points.
To achieve 3 stars on each level, you need to know how to combine combos. Take advantage of every ramp to perform flips. The more aerial maneuvers you perform, the more bonus points you'll earn – as long as you... land safely on the ground.
Towards the middle of the game, obstacles aren't just stationary. There are moving barriers or trash cans that unexpectedly roll out. This is where your reflexes braking sharply or jumping on inertia are paramount.
If you're a beginner, the honest advice is: Don't try to be a hero right from level 1.
Take your time to "get familiar with the terrain." Run a few times without doing tricks to memorize the locations of obstacles. Once you're familiar with the map, then press the speed button and start "showing off." You can return to any level anytime, so don't be afraid to start over – that's how the game teaches you to be perfect.
