A hero doesn't always need a pre-marked mission on a map. Sometimes, the fun lies in choosing your own path, spotting a confrontation along the way, and deciding whether or not to intervene. City Hero builds Vice Town that way, where running through streets, climbing rooftops, or swinging between buildings can all be part of the gameplay.

Which Way Do You Want to Take In City Hero?

Vice Town has multiple levels of space to explore. The street level is suitable for direct confrontations, while the high-rise buildings offer a completely different approach. Instead of just running down the street, you can jump to high positions and use a grappling hook to traverse the gaps.

This mechanism makes movement no longer simply going from point A to point B. An area guarded by gangsters can be approached head-on, or you can bypass it from above and choose a more opportune moment to attack.

How Are Powers Used?

While the character possesses strength far beyond that of an average person, City Hero still places control and weapon selection at the heart of its combat. Powerful jumps, sprints, and physical strength help you cover distances, while an expanding arsenal adds many attack options.

Gang-related missions create skirmishes across various areas of the city. When things get chaotic, moving quickly can be just as vital as dealing harm.

From The Streets To Zombie Arena

One of the biggest differences is when you enter the Zombie Arena. It takes place in Vise Town, but you aren't driving through it or hunting down a specific target. Instead the objective is a fight for survival against waves of zombies that regularly arise.

There is more and greater pressure the longer it goes on. Watch the path of the attack, locate open places to move in and choose the best time to utilise your weapons simultaneously. The boss is a robot, which raises the difficulty to another level . Combat is no longer a matter of physical power, but character control .

Unlockable Stuff

The progression system lets your character to unlock new clothes and gear as you continue through the game. These adjustments make you feel like your character is improving as you explore the city and complete tasks.

Also, the controls are made for easy transitioning between movement and action:

  • WASD / Arrow Keys Move.
  • Mouse: Check camera angle and make adjustments.
  • Spacebar: Jump.
  • Shift: Sprint.
  • E: Use the grappling hook.
  • M: Open or hide the map.
  • B: Access the arsenal.

When Vice Town Becomes A Playground

The appeal of City Hero lies in the combination of a freely exploreable city and constantly changing combat situations. You can spend time moving across rooftops, exploring new areas, and then move on to intense confrontations without switching to a completely different gameplay style.

Vice Town is therefore more than just a quest site. It's a space for you to experiment with how to move, fight, and explore at your own pace.

Vice Town gives City Hero plenty of room for you to choose your own route and approach every encounter differently.
