Shell Survivor is a roguelite action survival game where you control a small, scarred egg battling through a graveyard filled with ferocious aliens. The automatic weapon system allows you to focus on dodging, gathering resources, and building a powerful enough gear to survive 20 waves of attacks and the final boss.
You don't control every shot, you focus on three primary things:
The speed of gaming also varies greatly over time. The initial wave is only 20 seconds long, while the 20th wave can take up to 90 seconds and culminate in a monster fight. The longer you go the tougher it is to stay away from enemies.

Shell Survivor has 56 types of weapons and 136 items, opening up many different development paths. You can select quick-firing guns, area-of-effect swords, or a mix of missiles and auto-turrets. Some even lay mines or make gardens that can sustain a fight.
The merging method is particularly interesting: two identical weapons at the same level will merge into a higher-powered weapon, but only up to level 4. You can only carry six weapons, so you’ll need to balance buying new equipment with upgrading the ones you already have.
Common mistake is buying as soon as you have enough money, without thinking about your current equipment. If your weapons don’t work well together, you can get into trouble when the bigger waves of creatures come.
You haven’t mastered a game just because you won once.
Each character has strengths, weaknesses and fighting styles. You can change characters to attempt a different build
The difficulty grows from Danger 0 to Nightmare, with more dangerous foes, more hazards and worse circumstances in the upper levels.
Once you finish 20 waves you are able to unlock the next Danger level or try Endless where each wave is 60 seconds and the difficulty just keeps increasing. The game also preserves incomplete turns, so you may pick up where you left off instead of starting over.
Shell Survivor is for players who appreciate short survival bouts, versatile upgrade plans, and the sensation of finding a better weapon combination after each failure.
