The true threat in Shady Cats is not monsters or traps that show up unexpectedly, it's the shadow that's always following you. This 2D platformer is about a cat that has to traverse platforms, collect acorns and dodge its black doppelganger. That sounds simple enough, yet every move creates a new threat.
The cool thing about Shady Cats is that its shadow remembers your previous motions and mimics them. If you run right, leap on a platform, then turn around too soon, the shadow will copy that sequence of moves. If you touch it your turn is over.
Therefore, you have to think about where you are and what you’re going to do next, instead of wandering about all the time to get as many acorns as possible. An ill-timed pivot or an ill-calculated jump can get you in trouble.
Players can also use fireflies in the level progression to help them out of difficult situations. But, other products like honey, should also be carefully thought about. That extra prize may not be worth the trade-off, especially if the region is full of hazardous bees.

Shady Cats can be played by up to 4 players on the same device. Each participant controls a different cat with the following key combinations:
Playing with numerous players makes it more difficult, because you have to be aware of your teammates paths. barriers: shadows of other cats can potentially be obstacles. When two people keep crossing each others paths, a formerly safe location can become chaos very soon.
When playing together, each person needs to consider not only their own route but also the paths created by other cats. Poorly timed movements can turn a safe area into a dangerous one.
These practices will enable you to be more in control of the situation:
Shady Cats turns the task of collecting acorns into a test of observation and strategic moves. If you like platformers with unusual elements, especially if you want to test your skills with pals on the same keyboard, the game is good.
