Grow a Garden 2 is a multiplayer farming simulation game where you can build your own garden, plant, harvest, and gradually expand your farm to become the most prosperous owner. Beyond providing a relaxing farming experience, the game also adds many unique online interactive features such as a Guild system, weekly events, and a mechanism to protect your harvest from other players.

Grow A Garden 2's Gameplay Is Both Familiar And New

Grow a Garden 2 remains a relaxing farming simulation game. You start from scratch, buy seeds, plant, harvest, and sell your produce to earn Sheckles – the in-game currency. This money is reinvested to expand your garden, upgrade tools, and access rarer seeds, creating a captivating game loop.

However, the biggest difference in this version is the nighttime theft mechanism. Your crops will continue to grow even when you're offline, but when night falls, other players can sneak into your garden and steal the fruits of their labor.

Attractive Features

Weather And Crop Mutation System

This is one of the most interesting mechanics that keeps the game from ever getting boring. Random weather events will appear and directly affect your garden:

  • Rain: Doubles crop growth speed. A huge advantage for quick harvesting.
  • Snowfall: Can create Frozen mutations, multiplying crop value by x5.
  • Starfall: Offers a chance for Starstruck mutations, with a multiplier of x25 to x50, extremely attractive.
  • Blood Moon: This special event can create Bloodlit mutations with a terrifying multiplier of up to x80.
  • Gold (Midas) and Rainbow (Rainbow Moon): These are special events where you can collect Gold or Rainbow seeds scattered across the map. These seeds are so valuable that they can produce crops with very high multipliers.

These mutations are totally random and don't stack, so you'll need to periodically inspect your garden and harvest at the proper time to maximise your profits.

Defence Mechanism

There are various ways you may secure your garden against robbers. The easiest and most successful technique is to stay motionless in your garden at night, which will lock the garden and fully prevent theft.

Or you can invest in more proactive defences:

  • Gnomes: Buy a gnome to monitor your garden for 100,000 Sheckles at Epic rarity. They’ll be ready to “take down” any invader but regrettably their effect will only endure for 10 minutes.
  • Venus Fly Trap: This is a Mythic seed that costs up to 7,000,000 Sheckles and has only a 1.43% chance to arrive in the shop. When you plant it will attack anyone that comes close to it, but be careful because it can attack you too!

If you are a fan of agricultural games that have a competitive aspect and long term development, Grow a Garden 2 is definitely worth trying.
