Blobade is a.io battle royale game where you start as a little blob and you have to locate food and open chests to become stronger. In each match of Blobade you will find yourself in an arena full of opponents and you will have to know when to hunt, when to dodge and find a method to stay alive until the conclusion.

Blobade Gameplay: Food Feasts to Start

Your journey starts with the basics in Blobade. When you enter the arena you are merely a small ball of power. Your first and most crucial job is to find food. Food chests emerge around the map, and they are the key to your growth.

When you acquire food your blob will level up, get bigger, gain health and enhance its score. This growth is not only about looks, it also gives a significant tactical edge in direct battle. But the bigger you get, the more attractive you are to other foes.

The Shrinking Circle - A Real Battle Royale Ingredient in Blobade

One of the things that makes Blobade so fun is the diminishing fighting zone mechanic. It's a classic battle royale trope, but it's done very well here. The safe zone shrinks slowly and your space to move is restricted. You are forced to be in severe fight all the time.

It is in these last moments that strategy is truly tested: do you evade and wait for a chance, or do you strike proactively to take out opponents? You’ll gather the gold they drop every time you knock down another blob, which will allow you tremendous progress. But watch out, sloppy attacks can leave you open on your flank and make you prey to others.

Blobade Combat System: Slash and Charge

The highlight of Blobade is how the combat system is deep but intuitive. You use your mouse pointer to control the movement of the blob. You can attack in two ways.

Slash (Left Click)

A swift and efficient assault against an enemy nearby.

Charge (Hold Left Click then release)

A powerful attack with an increased range and superior mobility. The charge can be utilised to catch up to fleeing enemies, surprise attack a blob collecting gold or to escape a sticky situation.

The game is mastered by mastering the charge. But if you charge for too long, you become predictable. Observe your opponent. Attack when they are least likely to avoid.

Tips for Newbies to Play Blobade

Offline first: Before you start playing competitive games online, spend some time getting used to the movement and attack aspects while offline.

1. Don't get into combat right away. Focus on the gathering at the start of the game. Collecting food from the chests will allow you to get to the next level and you'll be able to increase your size.
2. Use your charge wisely: Only use your charge if you are certain you can kill an opponent, or need to escape.
3. Keep an eye on the safe zone. Damage will increase with time, so don't be caught outside the protected zone.
4. Do not rush to get gold: gold is used to unlock skins and improvements. There are incentives in every game, win or lose.
